Alas, my family background had few intellectual bonds with art or culture. Only in later years did I encounter and learn to appreciate museums, galleries, music & dancing. Now I have finally managed to live the dream of being a full-time artist – a luxury enjoyed by few individuals.
Once again, the dreaded virus is seriously interfering with exhibition plans for 2021, but I hope to be on the road again in the second half of this year. So please visit this page again in March/April to see what’s on the program. Stay healthy, Margareta. (12 Feb 2021)
I am passionate about clay and its plastic characteristics, on the one hand its initial softness and at the same time its strength acquired through transformation. It is the best medium for me to implement spontaneous ideas. My artworks awaken to life by means of the strong colours, so that they can lead to infinite interpretations in the eye of the beholder. I want my sculptures to elicit emotions in human consciousness that may be wild and daring. Free to be persistent and diverse, I like to leave behind stories in ambiguity.
