My ideas arise as nebulous conceptions in my head; it’s impossible to define the impulses of origin. Working spontaneously with clay slabs, and without sketches, the vague slowly takes shape. Always searching for new spacial possibilities, my goal is to explore the interplay of shape and colours in ceramics.
Once again, the dreaded virus is seriously interfering with exhibition plans for 2021, but I hope to be on the road again in the second half of this year. So please visit this page again in March/April to see what’s on the program. Stay healthy, Margareta. (12 Feb 2021)
I am passionate about clay and its plastic characteristics, on the one hand its initial softness and at the same time its strength acquired through transformation. It is the best medium for me to implement spontaneous ideas. My artworks awaken to life by means of the strong colours, so that they can lead to infinite interpretations in the eye of the beholder. I want my sculptures to elicit emotions in human consciousness that may be wild and daring. Free to be persistent and diverse, I like to leave behind stories in ambiguity.
